Sociología Ordinaria Encounters #14. Session 3
This video is a recording of the third session of the Sociología Ordinaria Encounters #14, Ordinary, Common and Public. Common Fixes for Ordinary Communities, held on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. Sociología Ordinaria is a research group from the Complutense University of Madrid’s (UCM) Sociology Department which explores daily knowledge deemed ordinary, superficial or frivolous from a traditional academic viewpoint.
This session starts with the round-table Common Spaces (I): Right to the City, featuring the participation of Ornella Franco Bass, María Laudes and Paco Inclán, followed by Common Spaces (II): Hanging from a Cable, with talks by Pablo Morín Arrescurrenaga, Jaime de las Heras Sierra and Carmen Colomés Capón. Next is the round-table Imagining the Commons, featuring the participation of Salma Amazian and Aurora Álvarez Veinguer, Virginia Fernández Peláez and Paula de la Cal Fidalgo, and the session concludes with the intervention of Familia Ordinaria in homage to Marta Plaza: Marta and Words: Common Fixes Going Forward.
