Renting Spaces

Unique Spaces to Hold Events

The Museo Reina Sofía offers companies and institutions exceptional spaces to hold corporate events and institutional functions.

To the backdrop of its remarkable architecture, namely the Sabatini Building and Nouvel Building, the Museo’s spaces are ideal for organising congresses, meetings, cocktail receptions, gala dinners and film productions owing to their versatility and flexibility.

Events can be complemented with private visits around the Museo Reina Sofía Collections and temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art.

Nouvel Building

Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, this architectural ensemble provides an independent entrance to the Museo and offers different connections between the Sabatini galleries and Nouvel spaces, a layout with diverse routes and with a clear distinction between meeting rooms and auditoriums, and between facilities for drinks and banquets and exhibition space.

Sabatini Building

Founded as Hospital de San Carlos in the eighteenth century, the building takes its current name from Francisco Sabatini, the renowned Italian architect who was entrusted with its design.

In 1990, it became today’s Museo Reina Sofía, with its facade completed with the monumental glass-and-steel towers that house the outdoor lifts — one of the building’s distinguishing features today, along with its historical Garden and the Cloister surrounding it.

Its spaces, and their huge patrimonial value, facilitate different uses: from film shoots to conferences to events, both indoors and out.

Private visit

A unique experience to visit the Museo without an audience

The Museo Reina Sofía serves as a setting for filming advertising spots, series, films, photo shoots, among others.

The Museo’s main building and its Collection, as well as the Crystal Palace and the Velázquez Palace in the Retiro Park, provide an incomparable architectural backdrop for audiovisual productions.
