Futurity and Resistance

This video is a recording of the third round-table discussion that took place during the sixth edition of Archives of the Commons on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. In the discussion, Aída Moreno and Ivette Quezada, from Casa de la Mujer Huamachuco, and Tania Romero Barrios, from Warmikuna – voces, rostros y memorias, accompanied by Lucía Bianchi and Marjolaine David Briand, raise questions around the drives and resistance produced or counterproduced by archiving processes. The encounter shows how these projects build archives with an eagerness to think of desirable futures from their difficult pasts and presents, setting out from their link with time to alter linear narratives and vindicate the vitality of the archive as an opening towards the future.
