Archives of the Commons

This video gathers the reflections of the curatorial team of Archives of the Commons, a programme of international encounters within which, over ten years, the Southern Conceptualisms Network and the Museo Reina Sofía have come together to explore in greater depth work with archives. Sara Buraya Boned, Damián Cabrera, Fernanda Carvajal, Mela Dávila, Cynthia Shuffer and Mabel Tapia share their ideas on the core themes that have run centrally through five editions of Archives of the Commons: the concept of the commons applied to archives, the notion of inappropriability and the power of archives as witnesses of (counter)narratives and as a springboard for collectively thinking about the future.
