Espacio acústico #4
Date and time

Held on 26 sep 2012

After the editions of 2011, in which musicians such as Peter Broderick, Bugge Wesseltoft, Cibelle, Oy, Mastretta and Lonely Drifter Karen, took part, Museo Reina Sofía once again shows its support for music, with an eclectic sample of proposals that attempt to draw a map of the trends making up today's diverse musical scene.

After summer the second part of the series, Acoustic Space #4, takes place. In it listeners have the opportunity to discover the dubstep, IDM and ambient sounds created by Shigeto using drums and electronics, the confluence of jazz, rock, funk and surf structures developed by the Madrid-based group Dead Capo, and the virtuosity of the saxophonist Colin Stetson, who surpasses the sound limits of the instrument in an exercise of sound experimentation as cathartic as it is accessible.

Acoustic Space #4 Art Impressions Mahou offers, over the coming months, performances by the following artists:

    Dead Capo

The Madrid-based group Dead Capo has become an important feature of Spain's experimental jazz scene after thirteen years of activity. Their music is the result of their assimilating various styles, starting with jazz structures and adding to them elements of rock, sound experimentation, funk, surf and the cinematic influences of soundtracks by Henry Mancini and Lalo Schiffrin.
