During the encounter, Lütticken explores how academic disciplines are, effectively, disciplinary: they impose habits of thought, ideological parameters and, a priori, methodological parameters on those who have studied them. In this investigation, he questions what having been disciplined by art history means, what art history has done to us and what we can continue to do with it.
