Néstor Reencountered

The exhibition Néstor Reencountered presents a retrospective re-reading of the multifaceted artist Néstor Martín-Fernández de la Torre, a figure who has practically fallen into oblivion outside his native Canary Islands. The show retrieves over a hundred pieces which reflect the many different facets of this artista, who developed a fruitful and extremely interesting career in the fields of painting, muralism, scenography, design, and publishing. He travelled through the languages of modernism, decadentism and symbolism, and challenged the most conservative moral standards of his era.
