Eva Lootz

This video piece documents the exhibition Eva Lootz. Making as if Wondering: So What Is This? and converses with the artist to approach her work through her own words.

In conjunction with the donation made by Eva Lootz, the exhibition held in the Museo in 2024 put forward a possible journey through some of the core questions that arise in and through her work. The show, which eschewed a linear chronology, focuses on the artist’s unusual forms of art-making in a career spanning more than five decades.

The title, Making as if Wondering: So What Is This?, underscores a certain way of understanding artistic practice: taking her daily practice as a gesture capable of interrogating the world from scratch.
