Analivia Cordeiro, who trained in architecture but quickly shifted her focus to dance, choreography and new technology, created her own computer system of notation and composition to record the movement of the human body under the name Nota-Anna. Her drawings, music scores and video works show rapid and intermittent movements that relate to the most rational geometrical abstraction, characteristic of the reading of concretism, but also with an electronic sound inspired by 1970s pop and electronic music groups such as Kraftwerk and Devo. It constitutes a first attempt in Brazil to create a suitable language for video and computer writing and to think about dance and body movement, while the technology medium is positioned as an intermediary image between artist and spectator.
