Roy Lichtenstein. All About Art

The catalogue includes over 50 paintings and other drawings dated between 1961 and 1996 from the first great presentation of Roy Lichtenstein in Spain. This catalogue focuses on dark aspects of Lichtenstein’s artistic oeuvre and points out the originality and intelligence of his images, and how they transcend the well-known history of the world of advertising so characteristic of the consumerism culture and the artist that is always trying to rebel against the conventional notion of originality. The catalogue provides a new vision of Lichtenstein, moving him away from the limiting label that associates him exclusively to pop art.
