An Act of Seeing that Unfolds
Susana and Ricardo Steinbruch Collection
The Susana and Ricardo Steinbruch Collection focuses on Latin American contemporaneity, most notably Brazilian, and artistic practices in Eastern Europe across the second half of the twentieth century. This book documents the works displayed in the exhibition An Act of Seeing that Unfolds, where, through the repertory of the collectors, a dialogue is held between artists such as Edward Krasiński, Lygia Clark, Juan Downey, Hudinilson Jr., José Leonilson, Mangelos, Lygia Pape, Cildo Meireles and Danh Vö, with a site-specific project by Fernanda Gomes and a selection of works by Mira Schendel stretching across different decades. The printed survey of the rooms of the show are complemented with three texts that delve deeper into the curatorial project.
