The Museo Reina Sofía offers its venues to companies and institutions for holding cultural and corporate events, which can be complemented with private and exclusive tours around its major collection of modern and contemporary art, spanning from the end of the 19th century to the present day. Framed within unrivalled architecture comprising the Sabatini and Nouvel Buildings, congresses, meetings, cocktail receptions, black-tie dinners and film productions can be organised in highly versatile spaces.
Auditoriums
Auditorium 400
Fully equipped with an audiovisual system, this space can accommodate up to 425 people, including the technical assistants, during events. Available from Monday to Sunday throughout the entire day (except bank holidays).
Auditorium 200
Set up for events with a maximum of 204 attendees, it is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology and technical support. Available from Monday to Sunday throughout the entire day (except bank holidays).
Sabatini Auditorium
A 144-seat auditorium with a projector system in diverse formats (including 35 mm and 16 mm projection facilities), it also has a small entrance hall that serves as a reception area. Available from Monday to Sunday throughout the entire day (except bank holidays).
Outdoor venues
Nouvel Rooftop Terrace
A diaphanous area spanning 630 m², it is the perfect backdrop for holding every kind of event, with a maximum of 200 guests for banquets and 425 for cocktail receptions. Available on Tuesdays throughout the entire day, Sundays from 7:00 p.m. onwards and the rest of the week from 9:00 p.m. onwards (except bank holidays).
Garden
An open-air space with landscaped areas, fountains and sculptures by Alexander Calder, Joan Miró and Eduardo Chillida, this area spanning 4,500 m² can hold some 400 people in a cocktail reception format. Available on Tuesdays throughout the entire day, Sundays from 7:00 p.m. onwards and the rest of the week from 9:00 p.m. onwards (except bank holidays).
Multipurpose rooms
Nouvel Lobby
This floor-to-ceiling glass space spanning 354 m² accommodates a maximum capacity of 450 people for cocktail receptions and can be used as an independent hall or complementary space to the Auditoriums 200 and 400. Available from Monday to Sunday throughout the entire day (except bank holidays).
Nouvel Protocol Room
A versatile space covering 409 m² that can hold a wide variety of set-ups – school, theatre, cabaret – for different capacities, with a maximum of 300 guests for banquets and 425 for cocktail receptions. Available Monday to Sunday throughout the entire day (except bank holidays).
Edificio Sabatini Cloisters
Situated on the 1st and 3rd floors of the Sabatini Building, a wide range of events with diverse set-ups can be held in these areas, with a maximum capacity for cocktail receptions on the 1st floor (382 m²) of 300 people and on the 3rd floor (216 m²) of 200. Available on Tuesdays throughout the entire day, Sundays from 7:00 p.m. onwards and the rest of the week from 9:00 p.m. onwards (except bank holidays).
Study Centre
A room with a theatre set-up, with independent access from the Library Building entrance, this area includes audiovisual equipment and can accommodate 45 people. Available from Monday to Sunday throughout the entire day (except bank holidays).
Sabatini Protocol Room
In one of the corners of the cloister of the Sabatini Building is this room laden with history. Made up of a vestibule and two interconnecting rooms, the organization of the space allows for various combinations of the two rooms or for the individual use of each. Available Monday to Sunday, all day (except public holidays).
Private visits
The Museo Reina Sofía opens its doors exclusively to those interested in having a unique experience by fully appreciating, in private, the masterpieces of contemporary art exhibited by the Museo.
The programme of private guided tours is oriented towards individuals, companies and organisations that wish to give their clients or employees the chance to discover the Museo and its exhibitions in a unique and preferential way. There is also the possibility of thematic tours tailored to the interests of the participants (architecture, theatre, history, movements, etc.).
Private visits can be concluded with a drink, cocktails, lunch or dinner in one of the spaces rented out by the Museo for these purposes, or can serve as the perfect complement to meetings, congresses or company events, which can also be organised in these spaces.
Private visits are arranged when the Museo is closed to the public (except bank holidays):
- Tuesdays, throughout the whole day
- Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 p.m onwards
- Sundays from 7:00 p.m. onwards
