    Seminars

Connective Tissue is structured around fifteen interconnected annual research seminars articulated by monthly sessions lasting approximately three hours. Their coordinators and initiators also make up a salient group of emerging researchers in their respective fields. They will define the schedule, lines of work and the objective of each seminar, with each one working independently and porously in welcoming participants on the Museo Reina Sofía’s Study Programme and encouraging their involvement.

    Seminars 2022-2023

The Research Matter works by combining the devices mentioned: Nine Seminars and Ten Critical Nodes. These thematic Seminars are planned annually and through monthly sessions lasting approximately three hours. The coordinators and initiators also make up a salient group of emerging researchers in their respective fields. They will define the schedule, lines of work and the objective of each Seminar. Although these Seminars and Nodes work independently, they cross over via common force lines, feeding into each other as they welcome participants from the Museo’s Study Programme and foster their involvement.

    Bachelor’s Degree in Art

The Bachelor’s Degree in Art organised by UOC, in collaboration with the Museo Reina Sofía, sets out from an expanded notion of Fine Arts which extends beyond the traditional limits of artistic practice, with the growing demand in advanced societies for an intervention of the imagination, creativity, and the capacity for expression in highly divergent social and professional spheres calling and allowing for new training proposals.

This online degree aims to respond to new challenges of contemporary creation and to train professionals to gain the capacity to develop diverse artistic practices situated in specific social and cultural contexts and in a way that is both informed and critical.

Students can freely choose their subjects of study and the UOC website includes the recommended semester structure for the course. However, checking with a personal tutor is advised to strike a balance between available study time and personal and professional situations.
