A propósito de…

A propósito de… is a program of guided visits related to the Museum's temporary exhibitions. Its aim is to make the discourses contained within these exhibitions more explicit, focusing on their critical content and seeking mutual contamination between the public sphere and the strictly artistic sphere.

The exhibition Locus Solus. Impresiones de Raymond Roussel is dedicated to the work of the French poet and novelist and to look back at the fruitful influence he had on modern and contemporary art. On this visit we will look at one aspect of the history of 20th century art, in which the connecting thread is the legacy and influence of Roussel.

Collection Stories

Collection Stories is an educational program that helps the public get to know the Collection a little better, by taking a special look, on a quarterly basis, at a specific part of the Museum. The idea is to encourage visitors to draw connections, between the works within the space visited and also between these works and the rest of the Collection.

Architecture: Construction, People, Projects

Architecture is one of the cornerstones of modernism: it is the skyline of its utopias and also of its nightmares, and it is the setting of the transformations that have taken place in our way of life. Avant-garde art is crisscrossed with architecture in a multiplicity of ways, to the point that it cannot be fully understood without it.

Through fifteen selected art works, examined in relation to three fundamental axes (construction, people and projects), we will cover a large part of the chronological and spatial spectrum offered by the Collection, using an integrative perspective.

Theatre

The visual arts have been engaged in constant dialogue with theatre since the beginning of the 20th century. This itinerary analyses how they have used theatrality and how the exchanges between these media have brought about successive redefinitions of painting, sculpture, film, dance and theatre.
