Sabatini Building - declared a Historical Artistic Monument in 1977, was formerly the seat of San Carlos Hospital in Madrid, founded by Philip II. The current building is the work of architects José de Hermosilla and Francisco Sabatini.
Nouvel Building – iopened in September 2005, this building was designed by renowned architect Jean Nouvel, aiming to both solidify the Museum’s commitment to continuous development and to transform its urban surroundings.
