In the heart of the Sabatini Building is this magnificent outdoor space in which garden areas and fountains co-exist with the sculptures of Alexander Calder, Joan Miró and Eduardo Chillida. A haven of peace in bustling downtown Madrid, the heavy walls of the old Hospital de San Carlos enclose this area, creating the perfect setting for a cocktail reception, lunch, dinner, etc. The garden is accessed from the Cloister, through the various doorways that connect these two spaces. This makes combined use of the garden and the Cloister, or the Sabatini Auditorium, another very attractive option.
