Jordi Colomer. Arabian Stars

The catalogue gathers visual and textual material related to Jordi Colomer’s video-installation that recreates the space of a house in Yemen while, at the same time, showing the film shot during the artist’s trip to the country. This work addresses architectonic, social and meta-linguistic issues while investigating the impact of the international star system, so characteristic of mass culture, in a seemingly recondite place away from the media. An analytic text by Eduardo Mendoza is completed with William Jeffett’s interview to Colomer.
