Registration information

Type of activity: International Conference

For over a decade the Conferences on the Conservation of Contemporary Art have been encouraging reflection on the paradox of conserving and exhibiting the present. They are a meeting point for specialists and researchers from around the world. Not only does contemporary art move beyond formats and artistic media, its conservation also involves questions of historicity that are increasingly pressing, and that tend to cast doubt on the very idea of exhibitions. This 12th Conference, which will take the form of two intense sessions on the subject of the new formats, hopes to help respond to such questions.
