G.A.T.E.P.A.C. (Grupo de Arquitectos y Técnicos Españoles para el Progreso de la Arquitectura Contemporánea/Group of Spanish Architects and Experts for the Progress of Contemporary Architecture), 1930-1936, officially began in Zaragoza in October 1930, bringing together the followers of modern architecture in Spain. So Spanish architecture became connected to the international movement that was looking for a general redefinition of architecture and urbanism under the flag of European Modernity, with Le Corbusier at its head.
