RequestsThere is a box for requests in the Reading Room that readers can use to requests documents not included in the collections that they consider to be of interest. These documents must not have been published more than five years ago. Suggestions can also be sent by e-mail. (by clicking here, open c/e of suggestions box). Complaints and suggestionsAny complaints and suggestions you wish to make must be given to the hostesses at the Museum entrance. Reproduction of Library collectionsUsers can get reproductions of books, documents, periodicals, brochures and graphical materials by taking photocopies (there is a self-service photocopier for this purpose) or photographs (there is a square template in the Room that users can use with their own photography equipment). To enter cameras, authorisation should be requested at the Museum entrance or in the Library Reading Room. For reproductions, the following rules must be abided by:
Inter-library loans with institutionsThe Inter-library Lending service of the MNCARS Library and Archive Centre is aimed at Spanish libraries. All libraries that, in the opinion of those responsible for Inter-library Loans, do not meet the necessary requirements to guarantee the safety of the loaned works are excluded from the lending service. Under no circumstances will materials be lent out to individuals. Foreign libraries that wish to request works that are not available in their own country may do so by adjusting their requests to recommendations of the IFLA with regard to Inter-library Loans. Which works are loaned out?Only material that is not available at local, provincial or regional libraries of the Autonomous Community will be supplied. An original copy of monographs that are in good preservation condition and for which the Museum has at least two copies can be requested. The work should not leave the borrowing library, should not be reproduced by any means and should be returned correctly packed. In order to borrow videos, you must complete a specific form. A maximum of 3 items will be loaned out per application. Which works are not loaned out? Reference books, periodicals, reserved books, press dossiers and special material and any other material whose preservation could be put at risk if lent out. All loans will be for one month as of receipt of the item. Extensions may be requested so long as the term of the loan has not expired. New requests will not be processed when the date of return for an item has been exceeded. The borrowing Library shall be solely responsible for the good preservation of the works borrowed.
